Name coloring page generator: any name, ready to print
Type a name, pick a font and a border, and print it as big outlined letters to color in: a PDF, PNG or SVG made in your browser. Free, no watermark, nothing uploaded.

A coloring page made from the letters themselves
The page draws the name from the real outlines of the font you choose: white inside, a black outline, as large as the paper allows, with a doodle border if you like. The same name, font and settings always make the same page, so a reprint matches the first.
What you can change
- Font: 8 fonts, from a round bubbly face to a script. Each one loads when you choose it.
- Paper and border: Letter or A4, and 6 borders of stars, hearts, bubbles, flowers, waves or a plain frame, or none.
- Outline: three thicknesses and an optional bubble line round the letters.
- Case and spacing: as typed, upper or lower case, tighter or looser letters, with the font's own kerning and ligatures on or off.
For a class, a party or a gift
- Type the name, or use the sample, and choose a font. Titan One is a good first try.
- Pick a border and the paper you print on.
- Download the PDF to print at 100%, the PNG for a card or a screen, or the SVG to bring into other software.
A teacher with a class list can make every child's page at once with Pro: paste the names, one to a line, and save one ZIP.
What it does not do
- It draws a name in a font. It does not draw pictures or fill the letters with patterns.
- A character the chosen font has no letter for is left out, and the page tells you which.
Fonts and licences
These pages bundle 8 fonts. Each one is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, unchanged: the font file on this site is the file from the Google Fonts repository (commit 47d54ca1), with the licence text that goes with it next to it. A font is downloaded only when you choose it, and your browser keeps it.

Questions
Which fonts and options does it have?
8 fonts (they are listed with their licences at the bottom of this page), as typed, UPPER CASE or lower case letters, Letter or A4 paper, 6 borders (stars, hearts, bubbles, flowers, waves, plain frame), three outline thicknesses (1.5, 3, 5 pt), an optional second outline round the letters that makes them bubbly, and letter spacing. Titan One and Lilita One are the round, heavy faces.
Which letters can it draw?
Every one of the 8 fonts draws A to Z, a to z, digits, the usual punctuation and the accented letters of the Latin-1 block (é, ñ, ü, ç, ø and the rest of À to ÿ). Characters beyond that, such as Polish, Czech, Turkish, Greek or Cyrillic letters, symbols and emoji, are drawn only where the font has them. Where it does not, the character is left out of the drawing and the page names it under the preview, so you can pick another font. Nothing is swapped for a different character, except that a missing capital or small letter is drawn as the other case, and the page says so. Names are limited to 40 characters. Bungee has capitals only, so its lower case letters come out as capitals.
How big are the letters?
As big as the page allows. A short name fills the width; a longer one is made smaller to fit. Two or more words are set on one line or split over several lines, whichever makes the letters biggest, and the page shows which. The result line under the preview gives the height of the capital letters in inches.
What is the bubble outline?
A second, thin line drawn a little way outside the letters, with white between the two lines. It gives the letters a bubble-letter look. It is drawn with strokes, so it stays sharp at any size. In a font with small holes (the inside of an o) the two lines can run together, and the preview shows it.
How do I print it at the right size?
The PDF page is exactly the paper size you chose, so print it at 100%, or "actual size", with "fit to page" off. The PNG is 300 dpi for the same paper. The SVG is the same page as a drawing, at its real size in inches.
Why are overlapping letters drawn as one shape?
In some fonts, especially scripts, neighbouring letters overlap. Drawn naively, the outline of each letter would run through the next one. These pages first merge the overlapping outlines, so you see one clean line round the joined letters, and a child colours one shape.
Is the name uploaded?
No. The font is downloaded to your browser, and the name is typed, drawn and saved on your own device. The site counts that a page was used and that a file was saved (as a file type), never the name, and it has no way to read what you typed.
Can I sell what I make with these fonts?
The fonts are under the SIL Open Font License, which allows using them in your own work, including things you sell, and does not allow selling the font files by themselves. The licence text for each font is linked at the bottom of the page. This is the licence as written, not legal advice; read it if your plans are unusual.
Can I make coloring pages for a whole class or a list?
One name at a time, with every font and option, is free. With Pro you can paste a list, one name to a line, up to 50 names, and get one ZIP with a PDF, PNG or SVG for each and a short report (names-report.txt) that lists every name, the settings used and any character the font could not draw. Every name uses the font and settings on the page. A name past the 50th is listed in the report, not dropped quietly.
What does it not do?
It does not add pictures, patterns inside the letters or characters the font lacks. It does not use a font you upload. It draws a name, not a drawing: for a coloring page from a photograph, see the coloring page maker.
