Shorter sheets, the same prints
Printers charge by length, so every blank band across the film costs money. This builder trims each design to its visible artwork, then packs tallest first, putting each design where it keeps the sheet shortest and turning it sideways when that is shorter. The report shows the total length and how much of the film is printed.

Before you order
- Set the roll width and maximum length your printer offers (22 in wide is common).
- Set each design's width as it should print: a left-chest logo is often 3.5 to 4 in, a full front 10 to 12 in.
- Keep the gap wide enough to cut designs apart; a quarter of an inch is a common start.
Questions
What is a gang sheet?
One long sheet of DTF film with many designs printed on it together, which you cut apart and press. Printers usually charge by the length of the sheet, so the tighter the designs are packed, the less each print costs.
What file does it make?
A transparent PNG at 300 dpi, the roll's width wide, with the physical size written into the file, which is what most DTF printers and gang sheet services ask for. Check your printer's own file rules (width, maximum length, gap) before ordering; every setting here is adjustable.
Why does it trim my designs?
A PNG often carries transparent space around the artwork. Trimmed off, the designs pack closer and the sheet comes out shorter, which is film you do not pay for. The print width you set is the width of the visible artwork.
Will it tell me if a design is too small to print sharp?
Yes. Each design shows its resolution at the width you set, and anything under 200 dpi is flagged. A design with no transparent background is flagged too, because the whole rectangle would print.
Can it turn designs sideways?
Yes, when that makes the sheet shorter; switch it off if a design must stay upright on the film.
