Screen printing registration marks for every film

Registration, not another halftone converter

This tool makes the alignment frame for a multi-colour screen-print job. It does not separate colours, edit artwork or simulate ink. Every film has the same four circle-and-cross targets on the same page size, with the film number and a 50 mm scale bar kept clear of the artwork.

How to add your artwork

1. Export each colour separation from your artwork editor at its final size.
2. Download a film SVG and open it in the editor. Keep its page size.
3. Place each separation with its top-left corner at the origin shown in the result. Do not centre each colour on its own shapes: a colour with less ink in one corner would shift.
4. Print the composed films at 100%. Measure the 50 mm bar before exposing any screen.

The PDF holds the marks only. To print artwork with the marks, compose and export in your editor first. If your process needs a mirrored film, mirror the whole page, marks included.

Why the size limits

Everything printed stays at least 5 mm inside the page, because most printers cannot print closer to the edge and a clipped target is useless. The result shows the largest artwork that fits with your mark distance.
